Here I am, playing in the snow!

I was a little apprehensive at first, especially given the very poofy snow suit I had to wear, but once Dadda threw me in, I had a lot of fun.  Well, that is until Dadda really threw me in and I got a face full of snow.  Then I was ready to come in!  We went out in the snow a little before noon when we had about a foot or a little bit more.  It was a LOT for me.  It kept on snowing ALLLLLL day!  We didn't go back out today, but we're going out tomorrow, and there will be more than twice as much snow!!!  Boy, I don't know if that will be fun or not, but I can't wait!  Kira's coming outside with me tomorrow, assuming it's not still snowing or windy.  And I think we're going to go sledding, and make snow angels, and make a SNOWMAN!  I can't wait!!

Oh, and, yes, it's STILLLLL SNOWING, even at 8:30 at night!

Cole

Cole couldn't even walk!

Kira's first snow!

It's SNOWING today!!  Started snowing around 9:00 this morning and hasn't quit, and it's almost 4:00!.  The snow flakes were BIG for a couple of hours and are now slowing down to smaller ones.  Me and mamma and dadda and Kira went for a walk in it when I woke up from my afternoon nap.  It's Kira's first snow!!!  She liked it for a little bit, then I think her hands got really cold and she started fussin'.  I had fun in it though, even though I'm sick and my nose is running constantly and I'm drooling all the time because I can't breathe from my nose.  It was so deep on my feet!  Me and dadda threw snowballs that stuck on the wall of the house next to ours.  Then I wanted to come inside.  Can't wait until it snows again!  Here's a couple of pictures from our walk!

Sleeping with Mama

Me and my didodo ("dinosaur")

I got this as a gift from my birthday.  It took me quite a while (almost 5 months!) to figure out what I wanted to buy from Fisher-Price withe the gift card I got, but I finally narrowed it down to this "didodo".  Even though I REALLY wanted it and liked to play with it when it arrived, I was still hesitant to allow it to walk and roar on its own.  For some reason things that move and make noises on their own REALLY freak me out.  But today I made it over the hump and am finally ok with allowing it to move on its own.  Enjoy the video of me playing with it!  :-)

Trick or treating!

Nana and grandpa came with me tonight! Luckily the rain held off!

We've been waiting for this...

Today Cole tried to flush a water bottle down the toilet!  He's always very good about throwing things away for Mama...today, however, he thought the toilet would be a better place for the water bottle than the trash can.  They ARE right next to each other, so why not give it a whoo?! 

He has also taken to the phrase, "ummmm" and since we laughed the first time he did it he now does it every morning when Dada gets him out of bed :-) 

And one more thing this week (oh yes, it's been quite the week of fun and discovery) - Cole has decided that it's fun to stick his hand down his pants.  And when you ask him "what are you doing?" he calmly replies, "touching my penis."  Of course, why didn't I realize that?!  Babycenter.com sent an article about this a few weeks ago in the "about your toddler" weekly update...apparently he's right on schedule in terms of discovering his body!

My little sis Kira turned 3months old 3 days ago. Here we are
cuddling. :-)

Maybe I'll be a pitcher!

Dadda and mamma taught me all about the baseball field over the last
couple of weeks. I like to run from first base to second to third to
home plate! Then dadda taught me how to pitch from the pitchers
mound! I like throwing the baseball.

Whew! I'm not allergic!

Mamma and dadda were relieved to learn this past weekend that I am NOT
allergic to bees! I got stung by one while at a pumpkin patch/
Halloween carnival. And I didn't even cry! It was kind of like
getting a shot from the doctor.

Stools can help me climb on anything!

I recently learned that if I use one of the many stools or chairs
around the house I can climb on anything! :-)

Just a little "particular"... We won't call it OCD

Everyone thinks it's funny that I like to arrange things "just so.". I
like to put things in nice rows and aligned. It's not uncommon for
mamma and dadda to find rows of lined up animals, like those pictured,
all over the house. And if you come to visit, please don't disturb
these!! Otherwise I have to fix everything immediately. I've like
order for months and months and months.

1 - 6... can you believe I counted!?

Today mamma was playing with me and was counting by moving each of my legs one at a time. She then asked if I could count while she moved my legs. I counted all the way to 6, saying each number in order as we went! At number seven I accidentally said "nine". :-) Mom and dad were extremely impressed and said they doubt anyone would believe them if they told them I counted and said all the words out loud in order.

"Kee ra" and more new words!

Ever since my baby sis was born my vocabulary has been exploding (finally!) I learn new words everyday and repeat after people all the time now. Today Delia was talking and I started repeating after her. My favorite new word is "Kee ra"... that my baby sis' name! So now instead of just calling her "baby" I call her by her name. Delia even taught me that my dadda's real name is "Dave", and mamma's real name is "Jessica". I also learned that I'm going on a trip soon to see Ama, Papaw, Jack and "aunt woowoo".

Some other new words include "banana" (that's Spanish for "banana" ha!), "railroad track", "up and down", "round and round", "late", "dark" and more. And I'm stringing lots and lots of words and syllables together to tell stories. This word stuff is fun!

Whoa! That's a lot of Blocks!

I helped Dadda stack some blocks on th train table today. I made it to
ten and turned the stacking over to Dadda since I couldn't reach any
higher. Dadda wanted to stop at 22 blocks, but I made him keep
stacking all the way to 26 blocks! Thats all 26 letters of the
alphabet We capped it off with the "H" for hippo block, what fun on a
rainy day!

Future Agassi in Training!

This morning Dadd took me to the sporting goods store and bought me my
own tennis racket! I told him a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to
play after I saw people playing at the park. Look at my quick feet
around the court! I think I like tennis already!

Takin' a Ride with Baby Sis

Tonight I took my baby sis on a ride in the stroller to see the metro
trains. Momma said she needed some sun because she's jaundice, so I
took her to one of my favorite places. She rode behind me so I had to
peek and check on her every so often to make sure she was ok. I like
riding with her and I think she had fun!

Met my baby sis today!

My new baby sister, Kira Isabella, was born today! I'm not quite sure
what to think of her after meeting her at the hospital, but I think
I'm ok with her so far. I'll keep you posted!

Not a care in the world... even with baby sis coming tomorrow!

Even though my baby sister is being born tomorrow, I still found time to relax with mamma and dadda in the pool today! They keep telling me that they're bringing a baby home this weekend... I know what a baby is, but I have a feeling I'm not quite gettin' what they're trying to tell me! Hmmm... guess I'll find out soon.

Aside from that, I'm becoming more and more talkative in both English and Spanish. I'm stringing multiple words together, like "that park is hot" and "more big big tractors". I also tend to pick up random words like "locked" and "caulk" and "caca/bird poop" instead of words that mamma and dadda want me to say, like my neighbor's name "Jake". I just like those other words better :-)

Anyway, I'll let you know soon what all this "baby" fuss is about!

Bday Party Time!

Time for cake! Such a fun party! Happy 2nd bday to me!

Happy 2nd Birthday To Me!

Mamma and dadda started singing this weird song when they got me up
this morning. They said it was my birthday and that I turned 2 years
old today. The fun part about that is when I came downstairs there
were presents for me!! So far I've gotten a lion chair that's just my
size, and a pull toy that looks like a dog. I've already pulled the
dog all around the house. I can't wait until my party this afternoon!

Restaurant play yard time!

I got to play at a "park" inside a chick-fil-a today... My first time
in one of these! I'm still a little too small for it but I liked
climbing around and watching the other kids.

My first cut!

Haircut that is! Mamma and dadda took me to cartoon cuts today. I
didn't know what was going to happen, but this lady started brushing
and squirting water on my head. I didn't mind and sat still the entire
time, even when she put the razor on the back of my neck. Now I'm a
handsome little boy and my hair won't hang in my eyes!

I don't say dog, cow or blue...

But I do say purple, gorilla, skunk, goggles, caulk, oval, corn, huevos (Spanish for
eggs), uva (Spanish for grapes), mañana (Spanish for tomorrow),
choochoo train, and antennae! I like random words! Getting better and adding more
words everyday now!

Penny, nickel, dime, quarter

I know the difference between all the coins now. Dadda's not sure when
I learned them but I know them now. I love putting coins in my many
piggy banks! Money for college!

Splish Splash, I was walkin' in the rain

Today mamma and dadda let me walk and play as much as I wanted in the
rain and puddles!

Holy cow, I'm riding a real live horse!!

I'm speechless that I actually got to ride a real pony today. I didn't
hesitate at all when mamma put me up on it. And I just smiled and
smiled as we went around in the circle. Can't wait to ride it again!

WOW! Rolling Thunder!!

We went for a walk this morning and stood on a big bridge. Then all of
a sudden we saw hundreds of motocycles!! Rolling Thunder rolling into
DC on Rt. 66! Motorcycles runbling and honkin and waving. This is so
cool!

Woohooo... Summertime is finally here!

And dadda blew up my POOL to prove it! Look at this giant sucker...
It has a slide and an elephant theat blows water! Hope there's still
enough room for me when mamma gets in!

Cool Old Navy dude

Mom and dad are making me play dressup at Old Navy again. I look
pretty cool though, eh!?

Happy Mother's Day, Mama!

Here's a beautiful card with my hand and foot prints on it. They
almost didn't both fit on the front of the card this year! Hope you
enjoy the breakfast and the massages and coffee I got for you. Love
you best mama in the world!

What did I get myself into... Rep or dem?

Who's that always following me!?

I just recently became aware of "someone" following anytime the sun is
out. Dada says it's my shadow and will always be with me no matter how
big I get. I guess it's ok because it's fun to chase!

Learning colors

I've been practicing my colors for the last few weeks and making real
progress the last two weeks. Now, with the help of crayons, paint
colors, colored push button toys and paper, I now know 8 colors at
least. I also have pretty good form holding the crayon to draw. Still
working on drawing circles, but can at least do curves. My favorite
color to say is bar none "purple".

I'm a little camera shy, but guess what I did today...

I peed in the toilet! I've been inquisitive about this for a few
weeks now, but each time dada or mama tries with me I'm empty. But
tonight during bath time I was able to squeeze out a little bit right
into the toilet! I hope to get more out next time!

My first time in a moon bounce!

And BOY did I have fun! I just jumped and jumped and jumped... Even
with a bunch of other kids around bouncing everywhere I just had a
blast. Thanks, Aiden, and happy 3rd b-day!

It's official... I now sleep in a "big bed"!

Dada got my bed all set up for me so I'd be able to break it in for my mid-day nap!  To test it out, I climbed right up into it, ran back and forth a couple of times, then laid my head down to see how comfy it was.  Then I practiced getting in and out of it and made sure to bring my favorite toys up there with me so I could play with them later.  Mama put me down for my nap, and I looked around for just a moment thinking "this is different", but I figured, what the heck, I'll give it a woo!  So I put my head down, and promptly fell asleep.  I think I'll like sleeping in this "big bed"!!

And it's SO BIG! Now I just have to get dada to put it together in my
room so I can sleep on it tonight!

Yay! Summertime is almost here! Grillin' n' chillin'!

Mama and dada couldn't WAIT to break in the new grill and eat outside
in the backyard!

My first trip to the circus!!

Today we went to the circus. What a fun trip to "The Greatest Show On
Earth!". Mama, dada and I went to the Patriot Center at George Mason
and saw elephants and tigers and dogs and horses and motorcycles. It
was so much fun! I can't wait to go again next year!

Got to drive a car for the first time today!

Of course the grocery store was too crowded to drive really fast, but
I still had fun! I beeped the horn and steered the wheel, and made
sure to make a beeping sound when I was backing up. :-)

Look Dada, they're drilling in the ground!

Dada and I got to watch construction workers busting up concrete and
pouring new concrete today! I love tractors and look for them
everywhere I go!
